Winter in Yellowstone Part 2

On this years trip to Yellowstone we had 12 people that showed up for the Fun. Most I had been out shooting with before but a few are new to our group. Most only stayed for the time in Yellowstone but Dale Mellor went down to the Tetons with me. This winter has seen a tremendous amount of snow in the Park. It made it tough to get around to get better angles. another issue was that the hunting and pouncing we had seen last year was not happening. I tried to snowshoe out to see the Moose at Pebble Creek but I was unable to get on top of the snow. with the snowshoes on the snow was still up to my hips. eventually the Moose came closer to the road.

For some reason I will never know this Moose preferred to run everywhere he went.

We waited for him to come out of the woods. I think he was waiting for use to get cold and leave. The temp that morning was -27 degrees not the temp you want to stand out in for very long. after waiting for over 1 1/2 hours he came out.

He was just amazing to watch run such a large animal just floating through the snow.
