This years trip to the Tetons and Yellowstone did not go as planed but it ended up being a great trip. I arrived at my boondocking location in the Tetons just before sunset. After setting up camp we had just enough time to hurry across the street to the Cunningham cabin for what would be the best sunset of the trip. I have shot this location before but always at sunrise. The choice was a good decision as I think this might be my favorite shot of this location.
I converted this to B/W and I think it was the correct choice. Here is the color version.
I like both images and find it tough sometimes to chose between them.
This year the wildlife was a no show in the Tetons and I think the unseasonably warm weather had a part in that. The sky was cloudless most mornings and it made for some less than spectacular sunrises.
Oxbow bend at sunrise this is a 8 shot pano from one of our mornings.
On the third day we woke up to a smoke filled valley and made the decision to move camp to West Yellowstone for the remainder of the trip.
